SINGAPORE : A massive police operation is underway in Singapore after the leader of the Jemaah Islamiyah network here, Mas Selamat Kastari, escaped from detention at 4.05pm on Wednesday. A statement from the Home Affairs Ministry says Mas Selamat walks with a limp and is presently at large. He is not known to be armed and is one of Singapore's most wanted men.
Extensive police resources have been deployed to track him down after he escaped from the Whitley Road Detention Centre. Anyone with information about him can contact the police at 999.
Mas Selamat was arrested by the Indonesian police on Bintan island in January 2006. He was picked up then for using a fake identity card. Based on investigations then, Indonesia's elite anti-terror police discovered he was the leader of the Singapore Jemaah Islamiyah network, a terrorist organisation. They then deported the man to Singapore in 2006. The 45-year-old father of four was also said to be involved in JI's plans to mount attacks against foreign and local establishments here. These included the US Embassy and American Club, the Defence Ministry headquarters at Bukit Gombak and the Education Ministry building at North Buona Vista Drive. Mas Selamat fled Singapore in December 2001 following an Internal Security Department operation against the terrorist organisation.
The militant leader had been on the run after Singapore authorities discovered plans to crash seven truck filled with bombs at various locations around the island. Investigations also revealed that he was the mastermind behind a plan to hijack an airplane and crash it into Changi airport. When he was last arrested in Indonesia, officers found literature on bomb making on the man. Mas Selamat's deportation to Singapore two years ago was seen as a significant development in the close network of cooperation amongst intelligence officers in the region to share information on terror suspects and to defeat the terror threat.
The islandwide manhunt has fanned out to areas in Beauty World in Upper Bukit Timah and Goldhill Avenue near Barker Road. Officers are also knocking on homes asking residents if they have seen the escapee. Police have also formed a formidable blockade around Malcolm Park, near the Singapore Chinese Girls' School. - CNA/ch
Im very very shocked when my mum sms & told me this piece of news this morning. Becos s'pore is such a tight secure country with so many strict procedures to follow & yet they let such a thing to happen. They let a ruthless terrorist escaped! Although i do have faith in singapore police force but this is a mistake that shouldnt even happen in the first place. My brother & his campmates are also been activiate in this search. Say im not worried about bro is 'hao xiao' de la, but knowing that Mas Selamat Kastari is not armed make me feel more at ease ... hope that Mas Selamat Kastari will get caught soon ... * GOD BLESS *

OMG ~ im neglecting my blog becos im hooked into viwawa =x im so sorry, bloggy. I promise to update more ok. Got to know viwawa tru brother-in-law, he was playing wahjong during CNY & thats how i got addicted into it. Haha and the best part is my whole family is hook becos of ME! Mummy, daddy, laling, meimei & bro all register after they saw me play wahjong at their place & almost everyday they'll login to viwawa juz to play wahjong ~ lol *pengz

Didnt went to too many places this chinese new year, standard to my MIL's place on the 1st day of CNY then 2nd day went out with my parents. Ha ha thats why i say its a moodless CNY but we did took lots of photos .. Cos Dillon is too happy & handsome not to take photos of him. Guess only kids love CNY this much ~ Let the photos do the talking. HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone out there =)

Happy Birthday to mother-in-law. We'll be having dinner at chinatown to celebrate her birthday. Actually im not too keen to go for the dinner cos its raining & baobei hasnt fully recover yet. Second is becos the location is at chinatown which at this period of time sure damn packed de. But since SIL has alrd decide the place what i can do is to pray that the rain will stop so that baobei wont fall sick again.
Heaven took pity on me, the rain really stop once we reach chinatown. But to play safe, i took baobei's raincoat to the diner. Meet MIL, BIL, his wife & SIL at the carpark behind maxwell coffeeshop then walk over to the restaurant that sell cantonese food. Another miracle happen, juz when we're about to reach the diner MIL's sis call & MIL tell her sis & husband to join us for dinner. And becos of this, MIL is kept busy chatting with her sis instead of 'finding topic to quarrel' with us ... kekeke ~ After dinner MIL went shopping at chinatown with her sis which is a relieve to me as i thought she'll suggest on coming to my place ... Guess luck is on my side today =)

Reunion dinner at mummy's place tonight, we've been having advance reunion dinner ever since i got married. Thank my family for being so understanding, advance celebrating reunion dinner juz for me ~ heart them lots! Daddy fetch baobei & i over to panjang at 4plus in the noon after he finish work, then fetch mum & we went to fajar to have some light food first. Then we head to grandmum house to pick her & uncle over to mummy's place, every year we had reunion dinner together =)
Dye hair for meimei while mum prepare the food, grandmum has cooked chicken wings & bring over to add. After dye-ing hair for mei, i help out mum to setup the steamboat. Laling come over to panjang straight after work & took a bath at mummy's place. Shortly after laling arrive, brother also came back from his shopping trip at town. At 7plus in the evening we start our steam-boating, haha ~ although every year we almost use the same method to celebrate but still with my joyful family its still a happy occassion!
